The name “flat spring” can be deceiving. Although manufactured out of sheet or strip material, these types of springs are almost always bent or formed after the blanks have been made. In most cases, after the blanks have been formed, they are either stress-relieved or hardened as necessary to ensure the spring performs in accordance with its intended design. If required, we then have the parts finished to the drawing’s specifications.
